I don't care if it's like in the backstory or MC is a widower/divorcee or something but if bislut means love triangle/pseudo-love triangle where the male character is just some nebulous off-screen entity, the story is just going to be an egregious waste of time and frankly just an insult to the reader.
That shit might fly for some harem garbage where the only point of the show is to have a bunch of template-built waifus that fall in love with generic self-insert because he has the incredibly attractive qualities of bathing regularly and probably doesn't smell like stale chicken tenders. So their only personality becomes how much their life revolves around some dude, but come on, man. We're into yuri because our tastes have evolved past that.
Do not waste my fucking time in a yuri story with some girl pining over some dude because all that tells me is you're phoning in your manuscripts for a paycheck. Shit or get off the pot, bro, come on, I'm not paying for potboilers.
