You began with the same spiel you used on others— of how you wanted to find some new hotels, and that you were new to the city (both of these were true, more or less).

She looked up at you with strangely wise eyes, betraying her status as an older woman. Or at least as someone who had been around the world long enough to understand things.

A few words were shared, and she told you to retrace your steps, before directly looking at the spot your Cat was hiding in. The bunny woman looked back at you, then commended you for your precautions, mentioning that "that catgirl hid too well".

You asked Mel to take down the small illusion Cattleya was under, making the catgirl known.

"You have a good eye." You commented idly, trying to figure her out.

"No, jus' lucky an' experienced. There's many a beguiler or beastfolk that has tried that trick to kill or steal. Illusions would'a worked if I wasn't payin' all my concentration, and most of us beastfolk know how to identify each other." She said. "You'd still be best at keeping that cat of yours out and about. She's better as an intimidation factor."

"I'm awake. But thank you for the knowledge all the same, miss... ?"

"Ponnamie. Pomegranate Byin Ponnamie." She gave a light bow. "Might I chance yours?"

"John Doe. And that is Cattleya," You pointed to your nearly amazonian cat-wife, "And over there," You motioned to the now appearing beguiler, "Is Mel."

"Wh- Huh... so, you're into tall girls, eh?" She blinked and smiled, "Gods, I must'a really be gettin' along the river in years if I couldn't notice a simple invisibility spell..." She muttered.

A few beats pass, with neither of you present saying anything.

"Oi, so-" Cattleya's meow was interrupted by the bunnygirl.

"Make sure to visit my shop near the Left-Bridge Commercial Center!" She did a cute pose, spreading her arms out with a flourish as though she were talking to a crowd, "Ya can't miss it! As long as you know it's hidden in an alleyway, and have the very-very-very secret code: 12345"

And then she went away with a few hops, not another word spoken.

"Hey, Master," Mel said, "Isn't Left-Bridge the place you just bought?"

"It is." You said.

"And she looked a little nervous at the end there." Mel added.

"But not enough to spring away." Cattleya said. She explained that rabbitfolk were able to jump quite high, usually using that to escape from situations they didn't like.

The second event of note was meeting with a racoon woman.

You found her after walking towards Moose Motel. She vaguely resembled the other racoon lady you'd briefly seen before, but she had enough differences to appear unrelated. You approach her to see what she was doing.

And what she was doing was rummaging around the place, looking for something and muttering to herself all the while. She had a strange accent you couldn't quite place, but it sounded vaguely asian.

Feeling like this was a side-quest, you made your presence known and offered to help.
