Ralsei really struggles with empathy, it was obvious since chapter 1, that's why I used to suspect him as Darkner based on Flowey. He has problem understanding other people's feelings, and always finds the way to hurt them. Susie is basically opposite of that, she has very strong empathy and always finds the right words, even if she doesn't realizes it. Tenna's scene in chapter 3 is a good example of this.
