OP’s correct, there are tons of proofs. Most modern “jews” have no relation to any Israelite tribes at all. The Bible tells us that there will be people who claim to be Jews (not Israelites, but JEWS) who are not Jews, but the Synagogue of Satan. That’s modern Jewry.
