I’m gonna say it plainly: Caturday posters in /ptg/ need to get a goddamn life. It’s the same tired, soulless garbage every Saturday without fail. You open the thread hoping for discussion, maybe some election updates or geopolitical analysis, and instead you’re buried in a pile of low-effort cat pics stamped with “Happy Caturday!” like it’s a national holiday. It’s not funny, not cute, and definitely not original. We get it. You have a folder full of cat images and a desperate need for attention. Nobody is impressed. Nobody is sitting around waiting for this week’s Caturday drop. What started as a meme has turned into a sad, repetitive ritual for people whose entire contribution to the thread is vomiting up the same stale joke every weekend. And spare me the “it’s tradition” nonsense. That’s not an excuse. Herpes is traditional in some places too, and you don’t see us celebrating that weekly. If you want to post cats, fine. Post them. But don’t pretend it’s some valuable cultural contribution. You’re spamming fluff and dragging the thread quality down into the litter box. Worst part is, you can’t even point this out without someone replying with “seethe” or “cope” like that magically proves anything. It’s not deep. That’s the whole problem. You’ve flattened the thread into a joyless cycle of ironic detachment and cat memes. Caturday isn’t content. It’s a symptom of decay. Read a book, take a walk, form a real opinion. Stop being proud of wasting everyone’s time.
