Speaking of self-inserts, I still have no idea how Miles and Rivas's self-insert managed to hit Neo. It's something I constantly gloss over because I've no idea how to justify that this happened.

Maybe Neo thought she could tank it, but even with Rivas's behind-the-scenes justification, the entire scene is nonsensical. Like Neo didn't bother killing or knocking out Oscar; instead, she disguised herself as him, and then, along with the relic in plain sight, slowly tried to escape from everyone without turning invisible.

Then, the other Miles self-insert does this weird thing, in which Neo moves in slow motion, but Jaune moves at normal speed. What's going on? Jaune has Witch Time, or what? It's not the first time this has happened in the series, but it's worth mentioning.
