I don't know much about this kind of stuff, and was wondering if some of you can give me some advice. I want to put together a local storage device for my parents to watch their favourite tv shows on.

Just wanna load it with a ton of TV shows and movies, connect to our TV with HDMI, and have a TV remote that can select whatever they wanna watch from it. What's the easiest way to do this?
