not if you think about it. extreme action on russia's part could evoke NATO response / dead civilians. the attriction method will eventually wear down zelensky, while not riling up westerners too much. the goial isn't just land either, it's about a NATO base in ukraine. as long as russia has bodies to throw oin the neat grinder, who cares? they don't seem to.
