Yes, but it's difficult in a way that will alienate most players. In theory the game is turn based and enemies are 100% predictable (except for bats. However, the game is all about making non-stop split second decisions and will harshly punish any mistakes. By the time you reach zone 3 the board state gets very complex and you are trying to play 2-3 turns every second. Throw in all the different items + weapons with varying attack patterns and it makes the information overload worse.
The vast majority of players are simply not capable of processing it all. They can spend tens of hours playing the game and training their brain to finally get a win, but they'll most likely check out before then.
