Phase 1 Heisei suits were so homogenized with red that I think now that Riders have played more with the palettes that magenta Decade doesn't look out of place or tacky. Phase 2 really experimented with what sort of aesthetics work with Kamen Rider such that suits do often stray away from just the "traditionally cool" aesthetic. Ex-Aid's designs were so controversial that people tried shopping more "normal" eyes onto them and now that we're used to the Ex-Aid eyes, giving them compound eyes is a quick way to get a cursed image.
