>implying anyone gives a shit about o-ring
This is why the Skystriker kickstarter almost failed, because it doesn't scale with 1:18 figures. They dumped a shit load of extra stuff at the last minute to get people to back it.
No one giving a shit about o-ring figures is also why Hasbro gave up on them too and allow Super7 to release their own versions in stores.

And if Hasbro isn't scared of Hiya's figures directly competing with the Classified line, why are they cockblocking Hiya's line so hard? Hiya has talked about why they delayed the line for so long, which is the fact that their ability to distribute the line in western hemisphere is almost impossible. Seems like Hiya believed they could get at least importers, but Hasbro isn't allowing even that to happen.
Hasbro relaunched their own 1:18 line back in 2020, and but it was nothing but retools of old designs everyone had 8 of, because Hasbro didn't want that line to steal sales away from Classified either.

We already saw how Hasbro also sabotaged the 1:18 Marvel Universe line in order to maximize sales for MLs. Even the Star Wars 3.75" line got made into a subline in order to maximize sales for Black series. So it's more of the same with GI Joe.

So it's pretty obvious that Hasbro is trying to funnel collectors into buying the 1:12 option, because $20 > $10. And no, $100 and $60 toys, which aren't even sold in Walmarts and Targets, are not competition to the Classified line. And 1:10≠1:12

>I don't think the vast majority of people buying Classified are doing it because they're "starved of Joe figures".
You'er wrong about that, because Hasbro themselves obviously disagrees, hence cockblocking Hiya and limiting their own lines, to keep starved fans atttention on their 1:12 figures.
And i wouldn't call Classifed the best, because Mezco's stuff exists.

Hiya will probably make it if their line manages to survive long enough.
