no it doesn't. that's just sega was lazy at brand management and didn't realize what they were doing. There's multiple comics and games that are IN CANON that have characters' birthdays. Plus, you have the fucking aged up designs that were happening between the classic and adventure games! Sega was JUST being lazy by never updating character bios. Those are technically handled by a different division (Just like how the dev team doesn't make the instruction manual for a game)
You don't have birthdays in floating timelines. Simpsons literally did an episode about how that can't exist because it symbolizes change. You can have multiple repeats of the same HOLIDAY, but BIRTHDAYS are a no-no because those are timeline markers and represent change.
And you have stuff like Infinite saying "You've been fighting the hedgehog for DECADES." which isn't how floating timelines work. floating timelines happen within the "same year" and just move the year around. Characters don't acknowledge time passing in those types of media! It's literally a rule!
What works is to treat listed ages for "debut" games and then have them just age up or down for content that's later/earlier. (Ex: if sonic's been fighting eggman for decades, that means at least 10+ years between S1 and Murder of Sonic, which would mean amy would be at least 18 in that game because it takes place AFTER sonic forces.)
