After a long day of working with Herta on the legendary orb, you found Ruby Rose going about the mansion looking for books and papers. All of said books seemed to relate to the use of skills and curses, meanwhile the papers were from Herta's own theories and ideas.
Ruby Rose's hair was disheveled, and she had bags under her eyes. She was clearly occupied by the requests you've made of her.
You stop your Mastermind for a moment, intending on getting an update from her.
"How's the research going, Ruby?" You said.
"Hmm?" She glanced at you, blinked, and stifled a yawn. "It's progressing quite well. While I've been having some understandable issues concerning certain recommendations made for the direction of my studies. Yet the initial concept stage has gone well. For now, at least."
"Go on."
"Ah, it's merely that 'breakthrough' that the so-called goddess made me consider," Rose's eye twitched "Is giving me more trouble than anticipated. Mind you, I do not despise complexity. But dealing with powers beyond the human mind without a proper scheme feels like a waste of effort." She wasn't fond of picking up after the goddess.
"I see." That wasn't too unexpected. Despite her continued efforts, Ruby couldn't grasp the divine concepts that those with Lunacy Savantae can. Be they impossible engineering or the more abstract parts of a skill. "May I see your progress?"
"Certainly." She pulls out some papers and notes. To her credit they were all expertly organized, a far cry from the messes of strewn blueprints and notes Herta usually made after working.
A glance at Rose's work instantly leaves you impressed. Despite being mentally impossible for Ruby to understand certain concepts, she nonetheless found ways to give it sense and worked up a plan from there. Though you doubted she knew what exactly she was doing, she held onto any logic and ran with it to its conclusion — like one who was both deaf and blind had figured out how to write.
You give her some tips, as well as some ways to make her workload more efficient.
"And that would the most efficacious... ah, I see." She did her best at trying to understand it, the light in her eyes desperately creating a scheme out of it all. "Thank you, my Master."
"If you need any further help, just ask me or Herta."
"I shall visit you if I have any inquiries." She gave you a tired curtsy. "Once more, I must express my gratitu-"
You don't let her finish as you kiss her. "You've been doing amazing, darling."
"Mmm." She savors it, her energy returning and her morale up. "Ah, you alone make it all worth it, my gallant Master~"
