- There was a plot of former government land, apparently there was an attempt to make a park. Funding for it was cut due to some squabbles between the Eastian and Westphalian factions within the government, however, so now it was being privatized and sold at a moderate price. It had some trees and benches, and was large enough to build at least a couple of houses with space in between, but was rather empty otherwise. The only other potential positive besides the price was how it was located in the city itself.
- For this one, a semi-desert greeted you. Few patches of grass were scattered by, though it seemed like it was a barren wasteland that ended in a sharp cliff at Centria's edge. At first you were confused by why Ayane and Ruby would even consider this, but they explained that this area could easily become a popular port and a trading hub due to its geography. If you were willing to put in the effort to build it, that is. Ruby also said that there was a possibility of finding metal here if you dug deep enough, though Ayane seemed to doubt the presence of metals your fox wife admitted there was likely some useful materials here a Savant might be interested in.
With any luck, none of these vacant plots would have as many monsters as your estate did. Those things could be annoying.
Ayane mentioned Adventuring Parties forming to exterminate monsters in Centria's rural areas long ago. This all happened when she was a little girl, so she had no idea what the status of monsters was in Centria. Despite this, everyone that was selling the vacant plots assured you that there were no monster sightings in Centria for decades— not even in the city's few remaining patches of wilderness.
While you told Ruby and Ayane to search for the best plots of land, you knew that a home wouldn't just magically appear to you... until it actually did appear in front of you. This was demonstrated by using certain Savant-made artifacts to create a temporary cottage in one of these empty plots of land. It almost reminded you of one of those 'instant tents' from your old world. These things were meant as examples of how you could use the vacant plots quickly to live in, since they assumed you were a Savant that could quickly build mechanical miracles. While convenient, there was always the chance it could simply vanish in the middle of the night, as it often needed to be recharged. It was an interesting concept that you felt like you could improve on.
But that would need to be seen to another day.
Ruby and Ayane were able to find other miscellaneous properties, though these were rather low in their priorities:
- A defunct industrial factory. Eastian in nature, it was quickly abandoned after finding a more efficient place in Centria to make consumer goods. If you could properly renovate it, that is. It also wasn't particularly close to anything. There was also the option to simply disassemble the whole thing for scrap and leftover industrial parts.
