this. i think there will be cycles for the next ten years, maybe more, where they try to fire everybody, they try to hire people back, then they fire again, then the economy stalls because consumer spending is flat, then they try some version of ubi, then the economy artificially heats up, and after a lag inflation explodes because of all the money printing, then they try digital money that spies on everybody, then they try moar ubi and more hiring and moar firing until eventually the system turns into this giant disaster where the entire west crashes and burns apocalyptically.

and that's not taking into account all the other looming problems.
