Yeah I know full well that most space marine chapters operate on a 'ask nicely and we'll help maybe' basis with the inquisition but Billy Battle Brother isn't going to know the difference if he's been told by the Chapter Master to follow Inquisitor X's instructions for the duration of his assigned mission. He's just going to do as he's told because that's what the Chapter Master told him to do. The individual space marine isn't the one negotiating the terms of his service with the inquisition.
