The real powers that be is just observing the opposition (doesn't go above "middle class government" in politics btw) commit a bizarre collective suicide out of sheer damage control.
>as the world resources are depleating at a rate
>that can't sustain
>the current population
Resources aren't limited in reality. The world is "conceptually generated". New areas show up every now and then.
People thinking resources are scarce, think about this:
How far have we dug downwards in Z axis?
Study any type of "mining video-games"; like Terraria, minecraft, dwarf fortress.
What's a repeating pattern of Ore Quality and Quantity the deeper one goes downwards in Z axis depth?
Stuff like Gold tends to be generated in higher quantity deep down.
Are there perhaps ores and minerals etc that we might not find until certain depths downwards? Higher quality metals for higher quality gear and equipment?
People that think the world has been fully explored already doesn't know that much about the world.
"Strike The Earth" is a Dwarf Fortress slogan. "Gotta go Deep"; "Deep Delving".
There's something called "Abyssal Hell Biomes" for real btw. If we dig deep we will find cool shit.
There's stuff from "Abyssal Hell biomes" tunnling upwards btw; "Pit of Abbadon opening etc".
ie if digging deep is hard with current mining equipment we can soon start using the tunnels generated by "Abyssal Hell creature type populations tunneling upwards" when they start hitting the surface.
