Weird how Sumika is in the top dancers of the school in general at the moment but we haven't seen her interact with Sena yet. I think.

After doing nonstop exercising over several days, Sumika has gotten pretty sick of it because of all the repetition. P then brings in a motivator, which is her friend Lilja who P invited to train together. He knows that she won't slack off if her friend is with her. Lilja is actually excited to participate in super tough exercise because she thinks the toughness will bring higher results, and ends up feeling a bit disappointed when P had prepared a less strenuous menu for her to do.

And thus the exercise resumes. P asks Lilja to keep an eye on Sumika so she doesn't run off, but Lilja assures him that when Sumika complains, she'll always still do it properly. P admires their friendship and Lilja proudly states that she won't lose to anyone in that regard.

Later that night, the two of them talk about Sumika skipping on summer HIF in order to focus on dance training in order to take on the winter HIF properly. It's tough, but the two of them resolve to keep at it.

Meanwhile, in the Love & Joy commus, the theme of the song is a cool dance number that also has Sumika singing about her feelings. Like with Kakushita, Sumika is asked to help with the lyrics again. But this time, the song will be about turning weakness into strength, something she believe she can earnestly sing now.

Sumika also thought up the dance choreography for it. P is a bit distant when asked for his opinions, but that was to help Sumika be more proactive in giving her opinion on things instead of being concerned of what the people around her would think.

They also go out to pick a cool outfit, and P suggest that she change her hairstyle to a ponytail as well to suit the song's image.

The day of the performance, it seems Sumika made a request in exchange for forgiving P's previous distant attitude. And that was for him to call her Sumika without honorifics. But just for this one time.
