The drawback on the dream seems to be that it's insanely expensive and simply not feasible if you want to stay in it your entire life. One of the sidequests had a guy who sold all of his assets, including his family, to get in and it's not even clear how long he'd even be able to stay.

But yeah for the dude Robin talked to IIRC he was allowed to stay for free because he was a fucking quadriplegic. There was NO reason why he would ever go back to real life. If I were him and Robin forced me out, I'd probably just ask for assisted suicide.
