Yeah, I am a tradesman and looking to get out of machining and get into health care, which I have been taking classes to do. I have done set ups, programming and machine operation, 3 & 4 axis mills, 2 & 5 axis lathes, broachers, key seaters, radial arm drill presses, manual lathes and mills. This trade has seen wages stagnate for decades now, so I am getting out despite getting better at it because the juice isn’t worth the squeeze.
In the past I have done HVAC, maintenance, worked on a tree farm, worked in a green house, done boat repair, gunsmithing, kitchen slave work. Having a family now I sort of feel the need to get into something more lucrative, people are always going to get sick and people are always going to die.
If Trump wants to seriously bring manufacturing back to America, jobs are going to need to pay a fuck load more than they currently do.
