Genshin as a gacha is a product for straight men, the fact it broke into the normie market meant they had to shed some of the things the real audience cared for to appear more 'clean', now that it fell off they can finally stop pretending to be above other gachas.
This just leaves the tourists who are still clinging onto false pretenses that the game will revert to how it was, and the ritualpost is a reminder that the game is not for you and never was.
