But being that youre not getting a chrome lined- armad - chf outside of a factory 416 upper it looks like youre going to compromise.

Not the worst decision but a chf barrel is going to provide a superior surface for that chrome to adhere to and improve its lifespan. Also, quality button cut cl costs exactly the same as a quality chf cl barrel.
