I would never argue for pointless mass-mixing or mass immigration or anything of the sort, especially if it's artificial. I will say though that I do not like the modern concept of nationality and the powerful "state" putting itself above organic culture/ethnicity, and more importantly, above God. This is an entirely modern development that started in France with their centralized state.
Everyone who has bought too much in the concept of the modern state and nationality has also bought too much into modernism. This is a point that many modern "traditionalists" do not understand. Your medieval ancestors were in many ways more free and less milked by the system than we are today. Compatible ethnicities co-existed in empires without losing their own identity for centuries, and Christendom of the middle-ages is a model that's worth studying and replicating, in my opinion.
