Baseless vanilla libel aside, a lion has the capacity to be gentle; a mouse only has the capacity to be harmless. All else being equal, I'd rather a mare who occasionally pushes me outside my comfort zone than one I feel I need to walk on eggshells around to keep from stepping on her hoovesies (my comfort zone is staying in bed all day brushing her mane and smooching and cuddling her)
