The magic of the antithology is that ostensibly everything gets admitted. If you want to be like Batsy and make an incredibly detailed animation, go for it. But if you've just got a simple joke you wanna submit and it only takes an hour or two to make, that's fine too. The organizers very wisely capped the required quality to a very low bar early on. If they didn't each year the submissions would get a little better, but there would be fewer of them, until it was basically just Batsy and AnonTheAnon making clips. The point of the Antithology is to inspire Anons to create things for their enjoyment, and the enjoyment of others. The second you start getting serious with quality control is the moment the fun of the Antithology dies. People simply won't make anything if they feel like they can't compete with the more skilled animators.
It's like karaoke. It's not about singing well, it's about singly badly, together.
