For more complex stuff it works when combined with regional prompter. Gen the image with mixed up features first, then re-generate the image using this one as a weak controlnet reference to fix their locations, use regional prompter at the same time, and ideally same seed. Better than inpainting them individually because this way they can interact, they get the same shading, etc.

You can also draw your own controlnet reference, no art skills required.
