you just lived through trannies getting themselves officially removed from the nutjob section of the DSM. not because there was some new discovery that proved they aren't actually nutjobs, but because they protested and whined (and possibly bribed) until the medical community caved.

if you aren't old enough to remember, regular old faggots did the same thing in the '70s. faggots started showing up at medical conferences and the DSM board meetings, and protested until homosexuality was removed as a mental illness.

if you're even older than that, or just have an interest in reading old medical journals, you'll know that until the '50s (maybe even early '60s) official medical literature contained language along the lines of "this negro subject goes out and gets drunk and/or arrested every time we let him out of the ward or cell...but, that's pretty much typical negro behavior" or "sure, this single female subject keeps fucking everyone in sight and throwing public tantrums...but, what else would you expect from an unsupervised woman?"

none of these things have stopped being true, you just aren't allowed to say them anymore.
