I'm going to be really honest. If he's only got 3 or 4 harddrives, he's not running a black mail operation. Wall to wall surveillance of a resolution useful for blackmail (720 minimum) will run you terabytes of data. 3 of those drives look like 2.5" drives, probably no more than 4TB each, which is 12 TB max, plus maybe 8TB on the large drive. That's 20TB as a high estimation. Probably it's more like 2+2+2+4=10TB. It could be 4TB.

That's suitable for edited videos, but not raw surveillance. If those were raw surveillance of every room in the house and elsewhere covering decades, I would expect 100s of TBs, with backups, so at least 200TB.

CDs have nothing to do with anything. You don't write to or edit off CD. Where are the 100s of TBs of drives and the editing bay?
