im not sure if you understand how that EGO Gift works.
every ego gift an upgrade basically becomes free.
and money is instead just used as a meter to boost your offense level.
and BTW
you can still just buy ego gifts for 1 cost and then sell them for their full value
you easily reach the full 20+ levels by selling stuff you dont need
