They use water buffaloes which is not exactly for dairy product but their milk makes better paneer (cottage cheese often made with lime juice).
About 3 generations ago almost nobody drinks cow milk but zoomers can drink it just fine although most prefer flavoured milk.
Still weak to red meat though, 300g is my daily limit.
