>Jim brought Nico, the Velvet Underground’s famous German vamp, back to his hotel room, and I’d never heard such crashing around. It sounded as if they were beating the shit out of each other. I was worried but never dared to ask what happened. Nico looked okay the next day, so I let it slide. Later Nico was to say in the press, “Ja, Jim ist crazzy!”
