not really. Are you familiar with the Star Trek episodes where every now and then they encounter the mirror-universe that is full of evil doppelgangers? That's sort of what was going in with the cards in Darkness over Vellsar. We saw a lot of the game's recurring characters, but from dark alternate timelines where they were evil or at least edgy with more tragic backgrounds.
