I am doing suburi with a metal rod because the flag pole broke a couple of months ago. The rod weights ten of fifteen kilograms. Is more like a spear if you think about it.
My technique is deficient. The great weight of the rod prevents me from keeping my body in an acceptable Kamae position. I am only able to do a maximum of three or five repetitions and I have to be careful with the descent so that I don't crash violently against the floor, for which I have to use the strength of both arms because it is impossible to keep control of the weight with only one.
My body feels different and I see it differently in the mirror. I am leaner and the exercise has given my muscles more shape.
My ultimate goal is to achieve absolute control and power. In an ideal world, I should be able to blow someone's head off and be able to maintain control of the metal rod at all times.
My objective is to become a mass monster. The ultimate life form.
