Anyone could have seen it coming. And yet, somehow, nobody did.

Like many young pilot before her - and unfortunately, like many inevitable in the future - Iori overestimated her abilities.

While in what should have been a routine combat, an enemy - a nameless, young pilot girl with only three confirmed kills - got a lucky shot on Iori. Within seconds, her prideful, perfect life was suddenly spiraling into instant death. Her commander immediately cut coms with her - the standard for a pilot marked for death. All the money, all the fame - it was all going to end before Iori had even had a boyfriend.

The crushing, utter hopelessness washed over Iori in her final moments. The realization that in mere seconds, it would all go black. Ungodly pain began to spread over her body as her skin began to boil. In complete and utter despair, finally realizing she utter agony she herself had put her victims through, all she could do was breath in, thighs shaking, and let out one final scream.
