"Marnie! How'd it go?" Yells a figure who you can only assume to be Liza.

"Yeah. Decoys worked, he should be busy. I think he's lost our trail."

"Good job, Marnie." Kaus Gammamon remarks. Wind gives you a nod of acknowledgement too.

You take up the rear as you all progress further. It's not long until you encounter your next Digimon. This one is a brand new species you've never seen before. It abruptly flies into view, observing you all from a distance. You scan it with your goggles and share the information with the others.

GIROMON- ULTIMATE- MINE- VACCINE

You gasp in surprise. That was fast! They're supposed to be rare, but here one is, ripe for the picking. Unlike the Shima Unimon, this thing doesn't try and bust you all immediately, despite being a Vaccine attribute. You clench your fist as you look at it. It doesn't actually seem that tough for an Ultimate. It's shorter than Porcupamon. All it has are two limbs, a horned visage, and a wicked-looking chainsaw, but it seems rather generic and unassuming for a Digimon.

"Hey, there's a target!" Phascomon says. It's not hostile yet, but it's tossing a red object up into the air and catching it repeatedly. The wicked grin seems to grow wider as it watches you all.

Wind stares at it, then looks towards the others.

"Well, it's an Ultimate. But it doesn't feel the same as the city's other types."

You get what he means. Cargodramon is intensely intimidating. It has a sort of aura that warps the world around it, like its data density is threatening the integrity of the environment. Even here in the network, where file structure is far more meaningful, you feel no such gravitas from it.

That is, until Squid's voice comes in through comms. It's crackly and distorted, and your communication system is having a bit of trouble functioning now that you're in-between reception points.

"D-Bzzt-on't f-i-ight it!"

You look towards Wind. He's deep in thought, but isn't taking Squid's counsel as final.

"What do you think?" He asks.

"It looks like we could take it. Squid, why not?"

"Krk- type!"

You shrug and look around at the others. Their Rookie partners might not be able to put a scratch on this thing, but there's no guarantee you can find an Ultimate-level Digimon inside.

>Propose that both Porcupamon and Kaus Gammamon try fighting it, and leave them out of it. This thing is definitely going to be harder than Shima Unimon, but you and Wind both feel like it's not that impressive for an Ultimate.

>Leave it alone. It's not attacking yet, but you don't want to linger around this creepy thing. Just continue on your way and enter the Scanner partition, you don't want to take any DMIA risks in a hostile environment.
