Aurora was the major part of the SOUL and we knew even back then that it was a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence. I know the render module was heavily rewritten but using the engine behind Neverwinter Nights for a such ambitious RPG like The Witcher seemed crazy. Not only did CDPR deliver but they also did it newcomers to the industry. You can hate or love the rhythm-based combat (it probably came with the territory anyway...) but it certainly had it's own flavor. All of this will be gone. I expect nothing but a generic UE5 game in Witcher skin with castrated (goodbye, romance cards!) content and general tone.
