The problem is how shit the aesthetic is and how nothing looks coherent relative to the look of anything else in the videogame. It's about the art design. Genshin has "technology" but until the fucking BIKE that technology was not just 21st century consumer products directly imported into the game like you bought them on an asset store.

In Liyue we were supposed to be impressed by the latest Fontaine technology of Kameras. They look like this, have clockwork pieces, seem to be made out of a combination of wood, copper and leather. This is a good visual design

In the volcano we find highly advanced Dragon tech. It looks like some completely unknown design from a far future alien space civilisation that has nothing to do with our reality. This was good visual design

Nod Krai has completely fucking generic brushed steel bullshit that looks like it could have been copy&pasted from a million other identical looking low-effort sci-fi settings. Nothing about the aesthetics look good or interesting or anything like the designs of anything else in Genshin. I would not be surprised in the slightest to hear that they just outsourced it all to jeets because their artists were busy with something else
