I get it. But that's also kind of the point of Souda's character, to show the other side past the 'ick' females might get when a guy starts stalking her.
He basically saved everyone's lives by fixing the elevator to investigate. He came in clutch with the video phones when they thought there was no way to safely isolate the infected. He proved himself to be a reliable friend who, if Sonia were to give him a chance, would treat her like a princess the way she deserves.
Think about it: it once was every girl's dream to be swept away by the brave knight, and Souda is sort of a modern version of that old-fashioned ideal. A princess should not have to think about difficult things. She should be protected and served even when she says she doesn't want to be. Modern feminism demonizes the chivalrous knight type, and Sonia was infected by those social norms so she couldn't get past the creep factor. She never got to see what Souda had to offer within the story of DR2. Nevertheless, there were hints that she may yet come around on him, especially at the end of DR3. The OVA with Komaeda's dream went further and showed us the relationship that awaits them in the future.
I just find his whole character a surprisingly empathetic look at the marginalized role of men in modern dating, and the ending of the anime/OVA showed them a light at the end of the tunnel. The conflicting signs and signals that women and the contemporary feminized society give make for a minefield for a man who's coming of age -- and sure, I'll be the first to admit that he CERTAINLY could have taken more care to walk around those mines -- but bad first impressions aren't the end of the world, and Souda's not the type to take 'no' for an answer. He'll make it through that minefield, one bomb at a time. And you know what? As long as we don't give up, we all will. Chances are she (whoever She is for you) will be glad you did, even if she isn't ready to accept it just yet.

Happy birthday, Souda.
