I crashed a drone once. It was a small plane. The transceiver lost signal and the wind blew it up to 2km altitude. It ended up nose diving hard into the ground.

People crash drones ALL the time over populated areas and VERY rarely does any damage or injury occur to the point where insurance needs to be involved.

It’s not the big deal people think it is.
