Yeah, ZZZ really needed more time in the oven. The fact that devs had to course-correct so hard during Season 1 really hurt the game, it made it seem like they had no confidence with what was there.
I'm not deranged enough to say that all changes are bad, stuff like Ultimate gauge not being shared by team is great, but some stuff like Agent hangouts while walking around the town just felt totally half-assed. They really need to expand on that, now that the movie hangouts are a thing.
And then there's changes that I actually disliked, like totally getting rid of the TV Mode. I really do hope that they are going to bring that back for events and stuff, the Golden Week event was much better than anything they did before the Anniversary.
...And this is a different point, but ZZZ does seem like least polished Hoyo game in some aspects? There's model issues like pic-related, common typos, text overflows, etc. I know that this is just how it is with live-service games, but ZZZ feels more troubled than most other big ones.
