Ralsei dying is pretty fucked up when you think about how darkners 'die' in general. Kris and Susie can't even take a picture or a memento of him, he would have only existed in their memory and the item he was made out of, at best they could try drawing him just like the imaginary friend he was, to be someday forgotten. They wouldn't be able to express to anyone else in the light world the loss of a person that was never real in the first place.
