I am not talking about "revolution" in the way you appear to be thinking of: some kind of organized group of individuals driving change, having a semi-coherent vision of what they want to achieve.

Folks just get tired of their shit - their mortality salient reached.
All revolutions are hijacked and co-opted, sooner or later, by those wanting to advance their own political agenda.
