I am sure the video maker has plenty of books he reccommends in the description or mentions books in the video
But unironically, if you're gonna do anything, then watch those documentaries, it's extremely good in my view.
Regarding political philosophy I also came to appreciate "Vlad Vexler" even if he's a little unbearably liberal (and not forceful/populist enough given the times he himself talks about that we are in but that's just my opinion on his read of "let's save democratic society by being... moderate) but it's good and you actually have to pay attention to what he says and actually think about what he says in order to get true understanding of why he puts things the way he does and how it fits into concepts he introduces over multiple comments over time.
