Rover also doesn't think the thing where he went and saw Lova's performance was real. He thought it was a trick to get under his skin so she could trap him while she goes and gets the gem.
He was fully committed to Lova being a villain and only makes a half-hearted attempt to convince her to give up her insane quest to revive her dead friends at the very end, and as soon as she says "hmmmmmmmmmmmm... nyo" Rover's like "Alright I guess I gotta kill you then"
Felt like shit if you actually liked her as a character.
