Gotchya, I assumed you were a Westerner. I'm an American (with German parents) who has spent time in Western Europe and Eastern Europe and, in my experience, many of my fellow White Americans are extremely naive about the cultural differences between Slavs and Westerners. The pic I attached of a Slavic woman casually joking about being called a narcissist while posing with a luxury car is a pretty standard example of the behavior that Western men will brush off as "ironic." I have seen several of them, normally middle aged, marry women who had all sorts of red flags.
A major issue for Westerners is that, since the West has a large number of hyper-expressive individualist types, the Conservatives over here don't understand that Eastern European women who dress in a feminine way are not always the "super feminine and docile 1950s housewives" of their imagination.
Germans are hit or miss when it comes to Eastern Europe. Upper middle class Germans are very aware of the cultural differences whereas working class GenZ Germans are often either excessively pro-Slavic or anti-Slavic.
