Dontnod biggest mistake was to overstretch themselves into way too many projects without a clear long term goal and definite identity of the studio, when they should have consolidated by the time of Vampyr and rallied around that game with a sequel. Making five games at the same time plus trying to dip into indie publishing was not a viable long term strategy and they failed also to try an elevate Michel to their own Sam Lake status, when he should have been. D9 also fell into the same mess except they have no real talent or care to even make decent games
