It would be one thing if the jurno just made it up, but it is the official line...
The police and their "analysts" actually plant this narrative.
It reminds me of how Europol got fed up that right wing terrorism consistently tracked at 0-1 attacks (planned/performed or foiled) while leftists and "single issue" (eco terrorists) usually oscillated between something like 5-10.
And the categories separatist and islamic were always at the top (separatist like the communist Basque, various Balkan groups and so on)
So one year they just lumped them all together, right wing and separatist and suddenly right wing extremists (separatists were not mentioned anymore) became the top priority.
They are all lying and just making shit up to push political decisions.
