Datura is not a drug or psychedelic. You're just poisoning your entire parasympathetic nervous system which is the mechanism by which it makes you hallucinate - with no way of having any idea of what dose you're actually taking because every individual plant is different. I tried it a couple times out of morbid curiosity when I was a dumbass teenager. If you're lucky and get a small dose it's just a standard deleriant. My first time I just saw a bunch of animals and shit running around the bonfire we were having and talked to a caricature of a gray alien that seemed mentally handicapped or something. If you're unlucky and get a large dose it's just nightmare DXM tripping amplified 10,000x except it lasts up to 3 days and you run the very real risk of permafrying your brain. My second time using it wasn't fun and it made certain that I would never touch that bullshit again as long as I live. I actually to this day still get almost panic attacks just seeing the plant irl, it really left that profoundly og a terrible impression on my brain. There is nothing there actually worth experiencing with that bullshit, stay away from it.
