The weird route doesn't grant us freedom, simply locks us onto another track.
The bead toy in the hospital was locked onto one path, we broke it off, but still it is locked, just on another now.

I think the "don't eat so fast" and biting into the core is weird route but the ending dialog after that may also be regular route. There's not any easy documentation of the scene on YouTube.
