PS1-era Capcom spritework is their peak - they made incredible looking energy weapons during that era, from Flash Bomb, to fucking everything in MvC. Some of the coolest lasers, elemental hitsparks, and explosions in the industry, and I lament their loss, come the transition into 3d.
